A Heavy Duty Magnetic Grill (also known as a Magnetic Grid or Magnetic Grate) is a high-strength magnetic separator designed to remove fine to medium ferrous metal impurities from free-flowing dry materials. It is widely used in processing lines where powders, granules, and small particles pass through gravity-fed hoppers, chutes, or bins.

The grill consists of a rigid stainless-steel frame fitted with high-intensity magnetic rods that generate strong and uniform magnetic fields. As the material comes in contact with the rods, iron contamination such as metal shavings, nuts, bolts, rust particles, and steel fragments gets attracted and held firmly on the magnetic surface.
